Appointed as HP’s Worldwide Data Protection Officer in 2024 after 20 years at HP in different positions in the Government Affairs and Privacy Office. In his role providees independent oversight of global privacy and data protection compliance across HP’s worldwide operations. Serves as HP’s primary point of contact for regulators and individuals, advising executive leadership on privacy risks, and regularly reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Provides independent advice to the HP CPO, on overseeing high risk data processing, supporting regulatory compliance worldwide, and contributing to AI and digital governance on responsible and ethical data use.
Jacobo Esquenazi is an experienced Data Protection Officer and Privacy Strategy expert with experience in AI and digital governance. Former Government Affairs leader with a strong background in public policy, regulatory engagement, and legislative influence.
Jacobo holds M.Sc. degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science, focused on international information technology development and ICT uses in development.
